Both the www.clear.com and the www.xohm.com sites seem to be alive and well. Why are they not merging? Since the merger has been approved, it can't be efficient to run the two roll-outs in parallel.

Hi ebiz,

While XOHM is still active for now, Clearwire will be taking over sometime in the next couple months. I *think* that they are waiting to fully merge until they have a solution for the roaming problem - right now, XOHM modems don't work on the Clear network and vice versa. I was told by Clearwire that once they do take over in Baltimore, they will have a solution for that (either a firmware upgrade to your XOHM device or a trade-in program for a Clear device). See more in this article.

XOHM is sort of in limbo for the time being. It's not "dead", because you can still use their network and sign up for service in Baltimore, but there will NOT be any XOHM expansions or updates to the network --- they will simply become "Clear".
