This is the most optimistic article I have seen in recent times. "A Fourth-Generation Slugfest: Can WiMAX Triumph Over Its Competitors?"

The article touches on really the only real differentiation, the leg in the race ahead of LTE. We can all talk about speed, open standards, cost of delivery, etc. But in the end, if you can't deliver a product, then you're as good as sunk. That gap is closing fast.

I really want WiMax/4G to succeed. I only have 3G options where I am for HSI (no cable/DSL here). But, it's readily apparent neither of these companies really know what to do now. If they were smart, they would start turning up additional locations with the deployments they have, even if that meant partial coverage.

The facts showing you launched two cities and are nearly a year behind schedule does not make for good press. No amount of spin and the monthly "WiMax savior article" will suffice. If they want more good press, then they better get a movin'
