| Search for tower locator on google. I have a tower search on my site that has Austin and San Antonio towers in it, and will give you distance and bearing from the address typed in. I tried to post a link here on this forum a few days back, but it seems links must be approved by the moderator. Probably explains why this forum is so dead. |

While I can't post a tower location on a google map for you, I can tell you how far you are from any live tower in the Austin and San Antonio coverage areas. Keep in mind, the tool I have is for LIVE towers only, and is from information give to me directly from CLEAR. This tool will tell you the distance and bearing to the closest tower from the address you type in.
Check it out here. |

Cool -- for my address (in Maryland), it told me:
| Quote: | | The nearest tower to your location is 1,351.09 miles away, bearing 250 degrees |
Is there any way to hone it a little closer? |

That's because we only have Austin and San Antonio tower locations, and the SA data is getting a bit old. Haven't seen any new data from CLEAR since early February.
We would put locations from other cities if someone would send it to us. |

I don't if you are aware of this, but Clear's own website does show Tower locations on their coverage maps. Something no other carrier does at this time. When you zoom in and view the map on the three maximum zoomed levels on the Google powered map, they show tower icons.
Its great, It allows me to know where they are when I drive around town, when riding public buses or trains, etc. I even can recognize their hardware on various towers and utility poles.
Here in Beaverton, Oregon, they use various sized electric power poles and high voltage structures to host their hardware, plus many are placed on top of various high rise buildings too in addition to standard cellular towers (I assume those owned by Sprint). _________________ GreatOnePDX |
