Verizon Wireless announced that they will be using Telecom Transport Management (TTM) cell site backhaul services to launch part of their 4G LTE network in parts of Minnesota.

The bandwidth that TTM is now deploying at each LTE cell site will enable Verizon Wireless to seamlessly scale and meet the dramatic growth in consumer data consumption.”

    Nicola Palmer, Verizon Wireless network vice president, said, “As we prepare for the launch of our 4G LTE network, we’re pleased to be working with TTM in portions of Minnesota.”

    USCarrier is utilizing the most advanced Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) transmission over its high-capacity optical transport network and will supply backhaul links between major Verizon Wireless switch centers throughout Georgia and Alabama. Additionally, USCarrier is coordinating efforts with Verizon Wireless partners to aggregate cell tower traffic to major switch centers.
