The size of Transport Block (TBS) depend on several parameters:
1. Imcs - modulation and coding scheme index
2. Nprb - number of physical resource block
The parameter Imcs is mapped on Itbs(index of transport block size) according to TS 36.213
- for UL - Table 8.6.1-1
- for DL - Table 7.1.7.1-1
Then the value of TBS you can get from table where Nprb and Imcs are input parameters:
Table 7.1.7.2.1-1 (this table is for both UL and DL)
in other words, the size of TBS depend on current available resources in UE and eNodB and used modulation. |
