|
|
| I have a wireless network consisting of: Samsung SCH-LC11 Hotspot and a Linksys AE1000. I am having a problem with the hotspot shuting itself off randomly anywhere from 1hr to 4hrs. The unit knows if I walk away for an hour and shuts off, LOL. I have talked to the tech department and tried their suggestions. I have exchanged the unit for a new one and it does the same thing. Any ideas? |

| It sounds like your device is going into a dormant state, which would cause your device to go into standby mode to conserve battery power. When you get back within range it should reconnect to the wireless network and begin transmitting data again. Have you tried maybe leaving an audio stream or something going just to confirm the device stays on if data is constantly transmitted? |

Problem solved. The hotspot had the battery saver enabled. What confused me was I talked to 2 Verizon tech people and neither one mentioned going online and verifying that the battery saver was turned off.
Thanks for your response

At the top of the home page:
1). Type in 192.168.1.1
2). Should direct you to Verizonwireless page
3). It should ask you for a password. This password is located under the back cover of the hotspot. Then type it in.
4) At the top of the new web page, click on Configuration
5). Next click on Power
Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! That is very, very helpful. Really appreciate your support and prompt response.
While I'm on here...are there any other tips/advice on using the hotspot in places like the airport to ensure best and smoothest connect? I often VPN in so hate getting kicked off...not sure if this has something to do what "channel" I'm on but if there is any other words of wisdom out there, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Glad I found this forum! |
